Usually, when everything no longer makes sense, when things get impossible to carry, when situation gets super out of hand, when our own efforts could no longer take us to where we want to go, we end up weak and hopeless. We tend to forget that God, in all His love, grace and mercy, is with us. Our life that we committed to live for Him without ‘turning backs’ seems to be forgotten. But, friends, may you be reminded as I am of Hebrews 12:1-5
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted. 4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Jesus Christ suffered the pain on the cross so that we may live. Whenever living for Christ is not easy, remember the pain that Jesus Christ had to go through. He endured everything so that we may live a life free from sin. If ever you made that commitment to follow Him and not turn back, remind yourself of that day. Recall how you felt when you committed to surrender everything and make Him the Captain of your life. God is with you. Persevere through the testings and depend again to God.
